so i'm switching from livejournal - at least for now. i'm giving this a test run; we'll see how it goes.

that reminds me - i forgot to change that comma to a semicolon in the paper i just emailed to dr. brown. bummer. i need an a on that thing to get an a in the class. it's so pathetic that i almost have a b in film.

but anyway, i digress...
i'm giving this thing a shot. it seems more personalizable (is that a word?) than lj, and i like that i get my own name in the domain. that's cool. hopefully i'll be a fairly regular updater, and if not, oh well. sue me.

we leave for new york in a day and a half! i am so excited. this has to be the coolest thing that has ever happened to me! :-) i'm really worried about marching the parade though. in practice it just hurts so bad, and we've only done the full 2.5 miles once. the good thing is my arms don't hurt anymore from the instrument. the bad news is my back kills. oh well, an hour and a half and it's done. then we get to enjoy the city! when i get home and get my pics developed, i'll put some up here.

right now we have 5 people from trinidad staying in our house. they are so friendly. all of them are just really sweet and as nice as you can imagine a complete stranger being. they made us dinner tonight and it was sooo good - chicken roti, i think it was called. scrumptious!

ok. i'm going to bed now. wish me luck at solo and ensemble tomorrow!
